At NN Digital Hub, you’ll join an internal AI Squad building long-term AI products for NN Group.
As a Senior AI Engineer , you’ll design, deploy and scale AI-powered solutions used by multiple NN business units across Europe.
Your work will support underwriting through automated document checks, enable end-to-end claims automation and help develop intelligent chatbot solutions. These are internal products that continuously evolve as they are adopted across different countries— not short-term consulting projects.
What will you work on?
You'll be involved in the entire lifecycle of AI solutions —from the first design discussions to production deployment and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
✔ Designing, building and deploying AI solutions, from traditional machine learning models to modern GenAI and LLM applications.
✔ Developing and operationalizing ML models using Python together with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar.
✔ Building LLM-powered applications, including RAG pipelines, AI agents and Copilot-like solutions using modern tooling such as LangChain or LangGraph.
✔ Owning AI solutions throughout their lifecycle —from data preparation and model development to deployment, monitoring and continuous optimisation.
✔ Optimising models and systems for scalability, performance, cost efficiency and user experience.
✔ Working closely with AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Owners and business stakeholders to design and scale AI solutions across multiple NN business units.
As a Senior AI Engineer, you'll have a strong voice in technical decisions and help shape how AI solutions are designed, engineered and delivered.
Will we be a good match?
✔ You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in ML/AI engineering, including work with traditional ML, GenAI and LLM-based solutions.
✔ You're confident in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras.
✔ You have practical experience with RAG architectures, AI agents and modern MLOps/LLMOps practices using tools such as LangChain, LangGraph or similar.
✔ You understand cloud-native development and have experience with Azure, CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
✔ You're familiar with REST APIs, FastAPI and integrating AI services into larger systems.
✔ You're comfortable communicating in English and collaborating with international teams across NN Group.
Experience in insurance or banking is a plus, but it's not essential—we'll help you learn the business domain.
